1) To keep people reading your blog and showing interest is to have several open ended questions. With these questions, the reader can receive answers and asks questions to keep the conversing going. Another way to keep a blog going is to always stay on top of your blog and update!
2) I wasnt sure if we were supposed to comment here or under the blog chosen, so I picked the blog which makes more sense since we were talking about comments.
3) Again, commenting on the blog. I was drawn to a singer named Rick Springfield since I have been a fan for ages. I found a blog that tells tour schedule, updates on Rick and also his music.
Another blog I decided to comment on was the Chicago Cubs. A Chicagoan has a blog that gives ball watchers a summary of the games played and what is going on with the team.

Thing #11
I seem to be a reader most in the autumn season. I will use this site for personal, educational, and fun reading material. Thanks for a cool site!

I have already added Library2Play and added my school to the reader feed. For personal interests, I added some musical and educational sites. RSS feeds can be great for everyone to catch up on the latest news or keep in touch with personal interests. I like that they come to me and I dont have to go searching for them......Ronnie

It was fun to set up a reader. I think that this is a very cool way to keep up with current news/items or information you are interested in. The RSS gives us the simplicity of reading something that is direct and to the point. I like this and happy that I am able to use it for personal use at the moment and Im sure I can think of some type of class lesson for the future.

During my experience on Google, I have found alot of neat applications that could work for personal and school life, for instance, google maps, translator, and the reader. I believe we as teachers could use any of these applications to teach in our room for students to be creative. One of the things I like alot is the reader, there are some good books that you could read on this app. Plus, the translator can be used to teach others some popular words in another language or look up something a student may say in your classroom that you are unsure of. I didnt know what a Mashup or how people got many of the neat things they did until I did this exercise. I now know that there are many tools to use for different a Mashup is a webpage or application the is a combination of many data sources to make a presentation or show functionality. Here is the picture that I came up with that I think students would love to do for themselves. They could make trading cards and put information on them that would be some of their talents, knowledge or such. I didnt put alot of information on this card due to privacy and copyright issues. Thing #3 Avatar

Moving the avatar was a bit frustrating on this program. I have created them in the past on other programs and didn't have as much problems as I did here. After I was able to do it, now its quick to do, however, prior to this, it is time consuming!! Great learning experience.

Thing #2 Life Long Learners
Again, as a teacher, I have not kept up with technology as I should have this past school year. So when we had an opportunity to learn some new skills, I independently, I was ready to jump on board.
As we want our students to be life long learners, we need to make sure we are updated on knowledge, skills and are able to keep out students engaged. Kids are more intelligent these days and sometimes can also teach us!
When watching the 7 habits of highly effective people, I noticed that I had alot in common with each point. The easiest habits for me are 7 and 7 1/2 which are teacher/mentor and playing. Since I am a teacher it is easy for me to pass on my knowledge and have students look up to me as a mentor. Like any student, I enjoy playing on pieces of technology to learn about them. So I agree that play is a good way to learn and when you are enjoying what you learn, its easier to learn.

Hello World--Introduction
Hi I'm Rhonda Rogers who has the nickname of Ronnie since younger years. At the present time, I am a middle school teacher possibly going back to high school this year for teaching.
As I thought about how I could teach high schoolers again, I noticed that I did not incorporate enough technology in my classroom as much as I would have wanted to this past year. As I reflected as to why I didn't use the technology; I decided that it was because I was afraid to learn something new.
As a teacher I have kept up with my knowledge and basic teaching skills but not advanced my technology skills as I could have.
